Rezumat

Background. In the last five decades there have been elaborated and implemented various innovative e/d-Learning solutions: learning management systems (e.g. Moodle, ATutor, ILIAS), MOOCs digital educational services (e.g. Coursera, edX, Udacity), micro-learning, gamification and virtualization of educational content, etc., which have led to reform and growth productivity of education at all levels. This has enabled distance learning to become the basic remedy in the situation of the COVID 19 pandemic crisis, which imposed the massive and overnight transition of traditional education to the online e/d-Learning. At the same time, this process deepened the digital divide, found a relatively poor level of preparation of the educational system for organizational e-transformations of Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) as a matter of urgency and under limited resources, insufficiency of teachers with the necessary qualifications. Sustainable and large-scale implementation of e/d-Learning in TVET requires the approval of an appropriate national strategy and corporate policies for e-transformation of TVET, automation and intellectualization of development of digital educational resources, in-service teacher training, etc. Purpose. Theoretical-applied study of e-transformation of TVET in the Republic of Moldova (RM). Design/methodology/approach: The paper contains a brief analysis and synthesis of new challenges, trends and e-transformation solutions of TVET at the post-COVID-19 stage. Their awareness would allow a better targeting of the digital e-transformation of TVET. Findings: According to UNESCO, rapid changes in the education sector, driven by COVID-19, have affected over 70% of all pupils and students. The rules of social distance have forced the replacement of face-to-face lectures with online solutions. "Physical closure" of schools, universities, colleges, etc. with the "overnight distance" deepens the existing disparities in the education system and the emergence of others, some of which are quite severe. For example, most TVETs do not have the necessary IC&T infrastructure, financial resources and staff. Many students have limited access to computers, Internet, Wi-Fi. And where it is, Wi-Fi as an Internet connection medium is not powerful and reliable enough. Frequent interruptions of synchronous activities cause stress for teachers, parents and trainees, who are not get accustomed to technology, etc. Limitations/ research implications: The post-pandemic world will have a greater demand for e-learning resources. But many of the old paradigms, forms, teaching-learning-assessment platforms, including program-technical solutions, need to be reviewed, rethought and adapted to the new conditions. A thorough analysis of good international e-transformation practices of TVET is required in order to identify, adapt and apply appropriate solutions and scenarios under the conditions of TVET in the Republic of Moldova. Practical implications: Identifying transparent and effective ways and scenarios for e-transformation of TVET, preparation and provision of innovative education and training in TVET, sustainable and widespread implementation of e / d-Learning in vocational schools in the Republic of Moldova. Originality/value: For the successful implementation of e-/d-Learning in TVET in the Republic of Moldova, for making changes, motivating, stimulating and continuously improving teachers, reducing the digital divide, etc. appropriate strategies and policies are urgently needed, both at national and local level for schools, including coordinated efforts to involve and engage the top management of line ministries, to support systemic organizational e-transformations, endowments, etc. Acknowledgment: The research is carried out on the personal initiative of Mr. Dumitru Ieșeanu under the leadership of the University Professor, Dr. Tudor Bragaru. Present research was evaluated under the guide and with the support of COST CA19136: NET4Age-Friendly the main aim and objective of which is to establish an international and interdisciplinary network of researchers from all sectors to foster awareness, and to support the creation and implementation of smart, healthy indoor and outdoor environments for present and future generations. The results will contribute to solving problems and actions carried out within the COST CA 16226, Indoor living space improvement: Smart Habitat for the Elderly (SHELD-ON), this way creating a better society for everybody.
