D.R. Popescu’s prosaic universe of poetic infusion is patronised by imagery which is both disoriented and redundantly baroque – probing the archetypal and exploring through bipolarism (sacred vs abject) the conglomerate of phenomenal world. With a detective’s fervour his heroes use the inquiry technique in their search for the (multiple) truth, in an incoherent world which has nothing of the sacred, enlarging the space of culpability; this multiperspectivism favours the clash of ”histories” maintaining through a rich plot the tension of moral debates of justitiary flavour under the dominance of relativism.
