Online courses have become a reality that ensures the educational process development when face-to-face learning is impossible or when it involves international stakeholders who can access them from different parts of the world. The digital courses’ efficiency has been largely debated in terms of design and implementation as the first models had to be revisited to match the distance learning expectations and reality. Exploring all the models of digital learning is not the aim of this paper; it will mainly focus on the ADDIE model which entails careful consideration of the audience, content, types of assessment, learning assets, digital tools, and evaluation. All steps considered, the ADDIE model will be applied to the Academic Writing Course methods of design and implementation with samples of a course outline, module framework including learning assets that match the course SMART objectives. |
