Rezumat

The current article refers to the examination of the publications about the Republic of Moldova in the German mass-media, mainly in „Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung”. The information is structured chronologically and thematically. We can see that the German journalists are basically interested in the social-political and economical situation in Moldova, being coherent and up-to-dated with all the events. The nature of the publications in foreign press is very important for each state, because it contributes to the creation of the public opinion in other societies. Unfortunately, we find out that the information on the Republic of Moldova is not so positive, the Chisinau regime being labeled as a totalitarian democracy. In general terms, Moldova is seen as one of the poorest countries in Europe, ruled by a pro-Russian and corrupted communist regime, with a divided territorial-political system, facts which induce worry for the European citizens, assessing Moldova as an instability and danger zone.
