Nous proposons une analyse traductologique comparée de deux versions françaises de l’Acathiste à la Mère de Dieu, réalisées par les deux grands traducteurs des textes liturgiques de l’Orthodoxie du grec en français: le père archimandrite Placide Deseille et le père Denis Guillaume. Nous étudierons notamment les choix lexicaux et stylistiques de ces deux traducteurs, en insistant sur leur expressivité poétique et leurs significations théologiques.

The present article proposes a traductological analysis, comparatist in scope, of two French versions of the Akathist to the Mother of God, written by two noted translators of liturgic texts belonging to the patrimony of Greek Orthodoxy into modern French: Archimandrite Placide Deseille and Father Denis Guillaume. Our study addresses the lexical and stylistic choices of these two translators, scrutinizing their creativity, their poetic expressivity and the theological significance of their versions.
