| Rezumat | ||||||
The present article considers the category of narrative perspective and its linguistic manifestation in English fictional texts. Drawing on an interdisciplinary approach that combines the narratological and stylistic theories, the study seeks to determine the role of modality in the process of perspectivisation and the attribution of focalization. In addition to identifying the types of modality relevant for the analysis of the narrative perspective, the essay aims at determining the role of modal elements in designating an internal agent of orientation and in creating an involved, coloured mentation through which the story is filtered. |
