University education is a critical component of human development worldwide. The quality of university education is therefore essential for the progress of a society. The constraints faced by university education today are caused by a multitude of factors such as the drastic reduction in the number of students, as a result of the demographic decline and the migration of the young population, or the growing discrepancy between the volume of expenses per student and tuition fees. At the same time, in the conditions in which universities are forced to optimize increasingly their human, material and financial resources, the question arises more and more pronounced whether the quality will not be "optimized as well"? This paper aims to study the quality of higher education in the Republic of Moldova in the context of decision theory in order to highlight the success, but also the constraints that the academic environment faces today in the field of quality. This research will exemplify some of the most recent achievements in the field of quality of the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova, which is the main economic university in the country. |
