Scientific evidence in recent years highlights an increased risk of mental disorders among migrant women. In addition to the traumatic events they suffer before and during their migratory journey, some of the women experience stress and suffering associated with their current condition, due to being in an unknown terrain. The concept of mental disorder in the context of this paper will be defined by interpretation based on professional experience, referring to women with mild or severe psychological difficulties, caused by several factors related to trauma suffered during migration (post-traumatic stress disorder , depression, somatization, etc.), associated with personality traits and the dynamics of the migratory act.
