В ходе внедрения основных стратегий Национальной Программы по Перинатологии: регионализации перинатальной службы, оснащения перинатальных центров мед. оборудованием, обучения мед. персонала, разработки национальной политики и протоколов, мониторинга / оценки качества перинатальной помощи, аудита материнской и перинатальной смертности, вовлечения общины в решение вопросов здоровья населения и др. удалось снизить показатели перинатальной и ранней неонатальной заболеваемости и смертности.

In the frame of the implementation of the strategies of the National Perinatology Program: the regionalization of the Perinatology Service, its endowment with medical equipment, the training of the medical staff, the elaboration of national policies and protocols, the monitoring/evaluation of services, the perinatal and maternal audit, the implication of the community in solving the health problems of the population, etc., it was succeeded to reduce the perinatal and early neonatal mortality and morbidity indicators.
