In this article, in the context of the outbreak of the war between the Russian Federation and Ukraine on February 24, 2022, we intend to examine tangentially some current issues regarding the foreign policy of our country, namely: examining current relations between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union; identifying the causes of our country’s non-alignment with the sanctions of Western countries imposed on the Russian Federation; brief presentation of Moldova’s relations with Ukraine in the context of humanitarian assistance and support for Ukrainian refugees, in particular; description of events that have taken place in the Transnistrian region and presentation of forecasts on the evolution of the situation in the region accor-ding to experts. |
