The article presents data on Lamiaceae species with therapeutic effect in the Lower Prut area, preliminary information on the potential for their use in various fields: medicine, food, cosmetology, agriculture. Spontaneously in the area of the Lower Prut there are 44 species of Lamiaceae with therapeutic properties, belonging to 21 genera. This number constitutes 10% of the total number (over 400 species) of medicinal plants identified in the territory. The most important therapeutic effects of the medicinal species of Lamiaceae identified in the Lower Prut area are healing, antiinflammatory, astringent, expectorant, diuretic, cholagogue and hemostatic. |

Spontan în zona Prutului Inferior se întâlnesc 44 de specii de Lamiacee cu potențial terapeutic, aparţinând la 21 de genuri. Acest număr constituie 10% din numărul total de plante medicinale identificate în teritoriu care numără peste 400 de specii.
