In the context of external challenges exacerbation and incessant social crisis, continuously observed in the Republic of Moldova since the proclamation of state independence, the national security ensuring issue in the military field is of high actuality. The effectiveness and full operational capacity of the state security and defense sector constitute a vital element for sustainable development of the state and, accordingly, for growth of population welfare and socio-economic environment. In this study the authors identify that presently becomes extremely significant the concentration of state and society efforts to consolidate the military body to achieve the level at which the capacity to effectively defend the national interests of the Republic of Moldova becomes possible. Synchronizing the process of reforming defense and security sectors through institutional and conceptual approach would lead to the improvement of the military security system to prevent increasingly complex threats and perils. |
