The world today is going through a complex period of changes, advancing in unknown social and cultural directions. Cognitive and social revolutions place in front of humanity the problem of choice. Since the modern world offers us not only true models, but also pseudo-values, education must be accompanied by cognitive and emotional discernment. To understand the decision-making mechanism, there was a survey on a group of students from the „Spiru Haret” University. The results of the questionnaire allowed to draw some conclusions on the aspects of educational choice.
