Geopolitica spaţiilor, care s-a constituit pe timpurile lui Mackinder şi Haushofer, presupunea cucerirea, menţinerea şi expansiunea spaţiului. Însă, schimbările produse în ultimele decenii au contribuit la apariţia noilor transformări, înlocuind imperativele tradiţionale cu o geopolitică dură a resurselor energetice, cînd scopul principal devine controlul asupra resurselor afl ate pe un teritoriu, şi nu controlul teritoriului. Alarmarea moderată a Europei cu privire la problema fi abilităţii asigurării livrării resurselor energetice în ultimii ani reprezintă o preocupare stringentă. Pe fondalul schimbărilor esenţiale produse pe piaţa petrolieră modernă şi cea a gazelor naturale, ţările Europei Centrale şi de Est joacă rolul cheie în instaurarea unei stabilităţi durabile pe continentul european. Sporirea considerabilă a cererii, în ceea ce priveşte resursele energetice în ţările Europei Centrale şi de Est, este legată de reinstaurarea pe poziţii a regiunii sus-numite. În conţinutul articolului sînt examinate perspectivele realizării noilor proiecte petroliere şi de gaze naturale, chestiuni cu privire la comerţul în regiune, a dezvoltării infrastructurii şi a trazitului, problema calităţii produselor petroliere exportate, precum şi aspectele de drept ale problemei.

The geopolitics of spaces generated at the time of Mackinder and Haushofer, consisted in there capture, deduction and expansion. However, transformations of the last decade have made new changes, by replacing traditional imperatives with rigid geopolitics of power resources when not the possession of the territory but control over their sources becomes an overall objective. Europe is worrying about the problem of reliability of deliveries of energy resources. Last year’s this fact causes the sharpest concern. Against the basic changes of the modern oil and gas market, Central and Eastern Europe plays a key role in achievement of long-term stability on the European continent. Considerable growth of demand for energy carriers in Central and Eastern Europe is connected with restoration of positions of this region among economically developed countries of the continent. The article is focused on the prospects of the realization of new oil and gas projects, energy trade questions in the region, developments of transport infrastructure and transit, questions of quality of exported mineral oil, and also legal aspects of the studied issue.
