The economic recession has as a consequence the decrease of the standard of living, the loss of jobs and the increase of unemployment, which determine a rise of the poverty level that constitutes the primary factor in the development of juvenile crime. Juvenile crime represents the ensemble of infractions and deviations from the social norms, legally sanctioned, and committed by minors which are under 18 years old. Analyzing the current situation in our country, we can state that juvenile crime isn’t just a social problem, but it’s becoming a national one. That is why for the fight against this phenomenon the implication of the M.I.A., the local administration, and the organs of social assistance is not enough, it is necessary for the intervention of the central government through correct policies in order to increase the standard of living of the population. |
