Rezumat

Progressive representative of Bessarabian society always have recognized women’s education as a universal value, considering it as a way to enter the world of culture and science. In 20-40 years of the 19th century began to be opened Lancasterian schools, in which were opened classes for girls. A special contribution had Gheorghe Asachi - the writer, who argued that women’s education should be provided by law and shall be under the state control. He tried to enforce an order of the Organic Regulation and to raise women’s education in the Principality of Moldova to the level of Western Europe.
