On the occasion of the centenary of the Great Union and the 165th anniversary of the birth of Alexandru Marghiloman, the Prime Minister of Romania (1918) and author of Political Notes, the mayor of Buzău Constantin Toma and his collaborators faithfully reprinted the first edition of the volumes. The following refer to the brief exposition of the first volume of the Political Notes covering the period 1897-1915. A. Marghiloman fixed for history the turmoil of the political elite in Bucharest around and in the first year of the Great War (1914-1915). They are presented by their words and deeds the followers of Romania’s entry into the war by the Entente, as well as the position of the Royal House and the Prime Minister Ion I. C. Brătianu to maintain neutrality. |
