Rezumat

Lanthanide-containing solids are amongst the luminescent materials for potential applications in lasers, optical-fiber polymers, and near-IR immunoassays [1]. An attempt to incorporate NHC-luminophores, triimidazo[1,2-a:1′,2′-c:1″,2″-e][1,3,5]-triazine and triimidazo[1,2-a:1′,2′-c:1″,5″-e][1,3,5]triazine in the Nd(III) first coordination sphere to provide an antenna effect resulted in 2D coordination network [Nd(oxa)Cl.(H2O)3]n (oxa=oxalate) and 3D MOF [Nd2(bdc)3(dmf)2(H2O)2]n (bdc=1,4-benzenedicarboxylate). [Nd(oxa)Cl.(H2O)3]n is monoclinic, sp. Gr. P21/n, a=5.8602(2), b=15.9365(5), c=8.3689(4) Å, β=103.903(4) ˚, V=758.68(5) Å3, Z=4. The 2D coordination network is built of centrosymmetric Nd(III) binuclear units with Nd(1)...Nd(1*)=4.4603(5) Å, where each metal atom is nine-coordinated with the ClO8 set of donor atoms, Nd-O distances ranging 2.441(4)-2.644(5) Å, and the binuclear units are interlinked via tetradentate and hexadentate oxa ligands (Fig.). The MOF [Nd2(bdc)3(dmf)2(H2O)2]n is triclinic, a=8.7229(4), b=10.1533(5), c=11.2003(6), α=65.460(5), β=71.496(5), γ=78.322(4), V=852.85(9) Å3, Z=1. In crystal each Nd(III) atom is nine-coordinated by oxygen atoms from four bdc residues, and coordinated dmf and water molecules, Nd-O distances ranging 2.420(3)-2.708(3) Å. Two Nd ions are bridged by two carboxylate groups to generate binuclear units with Nd(1)...Nd(1*)= 4.3504(4) Å, which are interlinked by bdc ligands in three directions giving rise to a 3D porous framework (Fig.). Compounds [Nd(oxa)Cl.(H2O)3]n and [Nd2(bdc)3(dmf)2(H2O)2]n are the missing members in the series of isomorphous complexes [Ln(oxa)Cl.(H2O)3]n (Ln=La, Gd, Pr) and [Ln2(bdc)3(dmf)2(H2O)2]n [Ln= Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Er, Tm, Yb] [2].
