The results of a study on the selection of winter triticale and the creation of a new starting material are given. Experimentally proven breeding value of some types of crossing. Developed and tested methods and schemes for the use of intraspecific and interspecific hybridization in the selection of triticale, which allowed to create the source material on a broad genetic basis. Intraspecific triticale hybridization is one of the most effective ways to create new varieties in practical breeding. For 2015–2018 94 combinations of intraspecific crosses were carried out. The average percentage of setting of hybrid grains is 48.4, and the amplitude of variation on the maximum for years ranges from 70.6 (2018) to 80.0 (2016). For interspecific crosses (triticale (42) × triticale (56)) and inverse, the average target setting is 38.7%, and the variation – 13.5–72.8%. When crossing between hexaploid triticale with soft wheat and the reverse, a lower percentage of setting of hybrid grains 11.2 and 23.8 is observed. The best results were obtained with crosses, where soft wheat was the maternal form. In Moldova, thus, 4 triticale varieties have been created and zoned (Ingen 93, Ingen 33, Ingen 35, Ingen 40) and 2 (Ingen 54, Costel) are being tested at the State Variety Sites. The results on the structure of the elements of plant productivity and yield are compared in comparing the experiments of the breeding process and reproduction on large plots in the State Commission for variety testing of varieties. The yield results show that the triticale varieties, Ingen 40 and Ingen 54, are more productive than the Ingen 93 standard. The Ingen 54 variety, according to the elements of the productivity structure of the plant, has lower figures and 1000 seed mass and the number of grains is close to wheat. In anomalous, due to climatic conditions (drought), an increase in the efficiency of cultivation of winter triticale compared with wheat has been established. |
