The Bar and lawyers are important subjects of contemporary human society that ensure the efficient and civilized functioning of law institutions in society in the interests of all its members. The Bar and lawyers together constitute a unique system, the activities of which are regulated by the most important normative acts of Romania, among which: the Romanian Constitution, in particular art. 24 of the Constitution, the Civil Procedure Code and the Civil Code, the Criminal Procedure Code and the Criminal Code; Labor Code; The Law on the Organization and Exercise of the Lawyer's Profession no. 51/1995, the Lawyer's statute as of December 3rd , 2011. The practice of legal relations in Romania shows that the mentioned normative acts ensure a good functioning of the system. However, the actual enforcement of normative provisions on lawyer' activities, especially lawyers' sanctions, reveals the existence of contradictions in the law that prevent lawyers from realizing their professional rights and obligations for the good of citizens and create instability in their lives. Studying, highlighting and analyzing these contradictions, formulating proposals for amending and completing the content of concrete normative acts that would eliminate the discovered contradictions is the complex objective of this paper.
