Background. Tissue engineering is based on the application of biological and engineering principles, with the aim of developing techniques for the replacement of damaged tissues, completely avoiding the risk of the immune response. Objective of the study. Efficient removal of cellular content from the tissue, while maintaining the architectural integrity of the extracellular matrix. Material and Methods. The materials and the decellularization methods will be according to the protocol for obtaining the extracellular matrix based on physical methods (freeze-thaw) and chemical methods (acids). Results. The confirmation of an effectively decellularized extracellular matrix will be performed by the histological method. Conclusion. In order to obtain a bone allograft capable of integrating into the host organism, it is necessary to choose a method of decellularization as gentle as possible, so as to preserve the architectural integrity and functions of the extracellular matrix. |
