A comprehensive assessment of the tabular data of the planned recovery trends from 1995 to 2000 of indicators in cattle breeding, pig breeding, poultry breeding, horse breeding, fish breeding of the Republic of Belarus, which were in 1990 in the Belorussian SSR, was carried out. An analysis of the conceptual foundations for the development of Belarusian livestock breeding, developed by zootechnicians in the first half of the 90s of the last century, as well as their actual effectiveness, showed the complete insignificance of the annual control figures for the implementation of the planned plans. Over thirty years, with the increase in the productivity of farm animals, there has been a disproportionate reduction in the number of all types of livestock. The use of imported producers and females in cattle breeding, pig breeding, poultry farming made it possible to destroy local highly productive breeds of livestock and poultry in Belarusian animal husbandry in a couple of five-year plans.
