Rezumat

This paper intends to find the most efficient ways to improve the technologies of teaching the gymnastics content in physical education lessons with primary school students. An online survey addressed to the specialists in school physical education was organized through Google Forms. So, a questionnaire including 12 questions was applied to 25 teachers from 21 schools of Romania, aged from 25 to 74 years, 48% with teacher certification level 1 and an average of 19,64±2,71 years of experience in this field. The results of the survey highlight very good appreciation of gymnastics content in primary school (40%) and a high share of the gymnastics means in physical education lesson(64%). It was observed that gymnastics ensures an activity of 52% equal to other sports branches, 48% of schools have good material resources and 92% consider that the gymnastics means determine the interest and motivation of the students. Difficulties were encountered while teaching the gymnastics means because of the parents (52%), lack of material and sports resources (44%) and lack of motivation from students(24%). Therefore, it was considered that the diversification of gymnastics means content can contribute to the curriculum improvement in primary school and to the need of a practical-methodical guide for teaching the content of the gymnastics means.
