Rezumat

The researches on wear resistance were conducted on the wear machine SMT-2. The concentration of abrasive in the lubricant material was 3 ± 0.5%. Samples rollers, fabricated from steel 45, with the diameter 49,6 mm, were coated with a layer of iron plating compositions in an electrolyte of FeCl2·4H2O (400 ... 500 kg/m3) and B4C (80 ... 100 kg/m3) having the thickness of 0,5 mm. They were heat treated with high-frequency current at a temperature of 1150°C and rectified until to diameter of 50 mm. Experimental data were processed with software STATGRAPHICS. In the research it has been established that in order to ensure maximum wear resistance, the concentration of the B4C powders in coat must be in the range of 16-20%, heat treatment temperature of 1150°C and the heat treatment duration of 80 s. It was found that at heat treatment duration of 80s, concentration of powders higher than 16% and heat treatment temperature higher than 1150°C, the wear resistance is between 21 ... 24 units.

Cuvinte-cheie
hardening, Heat treatment, Iron plating compositions, Recondition, Wear resistance.
