The article describes the creation of visual artists in the Republic of Moldova in the second half of the twentieth century, their role and contribution to the evolution of visual arts in the Republic. The character of the art of this period knows permanent transformations of concept and form. The creation of Moldovan women artists, which was initially subject to the imperatives of the time, is along the way transfigured by the new way of artistic thinking, and treated in a language of European influence and popular „inspiration”. Passed through the prism of its own sensitivity and filtered by its own reason, the work of Moldovan artists enriched the art of our country and gave it more sensitivity and lyricism.
