<description xml:lang='en' descriptionType='Abstract'><p>The paper is dedicated to the attitude of great Romanian thinker of the 20th century, Constantin Noica, towards the personality and oeuvre of the scholar and politician Dimitrie Cantemir (1673-1723). The thinker shared general conclusion is that the Cantemir model in the Romanian culture evolved from creative poly-historicism to the all-stimulating lautarism and to all-negating anti-lautarism.</p></description>
