The aesthetic education of preschool children can be achieved through the art of fashion design, literary art and fine art. The traditional costume is an important source for the education of aesthetic taste. The teacher should organize and carry out such activities that will develop in children the ability of perceiving and understanding properly the beauty, taste and aesthetic sense. The aesthetic education aims to prepare the child for the act of exploitation - recovery -assimilation and creation of the aesthetic values. The preschool children should be familiar with the elements of the traditional costume, and namely the woman and man folk costume. These children should know the concepts of ie, cămaşă cu altiţă (peasant blouse) opinci (leather peasant sandals- traditional footwear), brâu (traditional leather belt / girdle), and bag. The educators should teach children to value and respect their native customs and traditions and also, to teach them to love their homeland and the national folk costumes. The teachers have to instil in the children’s souls the elements of the nation identity to know where they come from and who they are on this earth. |
