Background. Traumatic brain injury - pathological condition, secondary to the action of an external mechanical force on the cephalic extremity. Incidence in RM - 609 cases/100,000, prevalence - 1251 cases/100,000 people (2016). Lethality in severe LTC - 24.5-30%. Diagnostic choice method CT Objective of the study. Study of the etiological factors of severe traumatic brain injury in surviving and deceased patients undergoing treatment in IMSP IMU. Material and Methods. The retrospective clinical study included 22 patients who addressed in the Department of Urgent Medicine of IMSP IMU between 01.01.2018 - 31.12.2018 with severe traumatic brain injuries Results. The mean age of the patients included in the study was 39.8±14.7 years, including 20 men and 2 women. Out of 22 people, 12 survived, 10 died. Compulsory health insurance had 14 patients and 8 patients were uninsured. The analysis of the mechanisms of injury showed that the most common causes were: road accidents 40.91%, aggression - 18.18%, falling from a height - 13.64%, habitual trauma - 9.09%, unknown 18.18%. Conclusion. The most common causes of severe injury were road accidents. Among the patients who died, there was a severe disorder of consciousness (GCS 4-7 points), compared to the patients |
