Corn (Zea mays L.) is considered major forage for animals but its production is limited by low nutrients supply. Results of the study on the effect of foliar application of Nutrivant on the yield and quality of corn grain cultivated in the central zone of the Republic of Moldova are given. The effect of fertilization on growth and development of cob corn is shown. Foliar nutrition contributes to enhancing the productivity of grain to 8,8 t/ha, that at 1,2 t/ha higher version without fertilizer application. The utilization of Nutrivant as foliage nutrition during vegetation increased the crude protein contents in grain by 24% and mineral substances by 32% but did not change the content of crude oil in corn grain. Fertilization of plants increased the use of nutrients by grain yield. Hence, we concluded that the application of Nutrient fertilizer is efficient biotechnological approach to improve the yield and forage quality of corn. |
