The article is based on the analysis of the juridical settlement of consumers’ protection from the state’s penal policy point of view. The policy of consumers’ protection in Republic of Moldova has to be elaborated in correspondence with UN’s principles and some well-known criteria among consumers. It is necessary for the state to assume a more powerful coordinating function, in the transition period, till the mechanism of functioning of the consumption market will be entirely formed. The author presents and analyses some normative documents passed from the beginning of 1990 up till now, that contain settlements more or less distinguished regarding consumers’ protection; settlements that took in consideration the exact conditions of Moldovan economy.
