The article presents the results of the assessment of the main measurements of the mammary gland and of the milk production in the first 20 days of lactation at sheep breed Ţigaie local type and metis sheep ♀Ţigaie x ♂Benthaimer of the first, second and third lactation. It was established the priority of sheep metis F1 (x ♀Ţigaie ♂Benthaimer) in the third lactation towards the sheep of breed Ţigaie of the same age length and width (P≤0,01), depth and volume (p≤0,001) of udder. Metis sheep were characterized and by higher milk production in the first 20 days of suckling of lambs (6,4-12,7%). |
