In the given article, the author proposed to investigate the role of direct foreign investments in the Moldovan economy and how they could contribute to the welfare of the people and the public good. The role and the impact of direct foreign investments on the economy of a country is indisputable since their volume, structure and allocation directions have an effect on both the production of goods and services and on the consummation, motivating in simultaneously the request and the offer on the national market and of the export as well. The investments represent the stimulation that generates new economic activities and has as finality the obtaining of the goods and indispensable services of a viable, prosperous and competitive economy.
