The goal our experiments was integration of phenological and spatial models for prediction of pests development in apple orchards. Development of a system for forecasting of orchard pests is based on interactions of biotic and abiotic factors. Proper appreciation of Biological Fixed Point is the key operation for codling moth phenology model development. Saw fly spatial model is based on the adults capture and processing of information through the GIS / GPS to allow identify outbreaks in the orchard, which enables decisions about the necessity and place of application of protection measures. Integrating spatial patterns and phenology allows to improve the pest forecasting and warning treatments within 2-3 days. |
