The modern period of anthropogenic transformations on the planet can be compared with the turning points in the development of the biosphere and its transformation. Now, in the 21st century, humanity, having become a monopolist on Earth and putting nature at its service, has found itself on the verge of a global environmental catastrophe that could entail the destruction of life on Earth.
