The restoration technologies for land restoration in quarry areas require the use of their own mine spoils. An adequate technosol selection can constitute a valuable and cost-effective solution for mine rehabilitation and waste management. However, it is important to preserve the conservation of the environment with less risk of pollution of the environment. The experimentation was carried out using percolation columns. Different treatments were applied, which depended on the biosolid composition and the doses applied. The biosolid was applied on the surface and mixed with the mine spoil, producing a homogenous mixture. The experiment was carried out using different types of mine spoils rich in carbonates. The electrical conductivity, pH, nitrate, phosphate, chloride, sulfates, Na, K, Ca, Mg and heavy metals (Cr, Ni, Cu, Zn, Cd and Pb) were determined. The pH values were found to be within the limit value range. The limit values for the chlorides, phosphates and sulfates were much higher than those obtained in all the irrigations. Significant nitrate concentrations appeared that may pose an environmental contamination risk. No significant displacements and mobility of micronutrients and heavy metals in the technosol have been determined. |
