the article analyzes the textbook ”Geography of Yakutia”, which is used as the main one in the process of studying the regional course of geography, in order to identify the names of famous personalities (personalities) who have made a great contribution to the discovery, study, development and growth of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia); it was found that 27 people got their place on the map of the republic, which is 49% of all personalities; 9 names are signified only on the streets of cities and villages; some of the personalities, no less famous than those already immortalized on the map, could also adequately represent the names of other Cossack pioneers, researchers of the XVIII-XX centuries: historians, ethnographers, geologists, geographers, ecologists and economists on the map of Yakutia. |
