The article devotes the experience of implementing digital technologies in the work of the modern Ukrainian libraries and museums. The author believes that cultural institutions that are widely open to innovation there are continuing to successfully fulfill their main function - the repository of priceless artifacts of the past, preservation of cultural memory, promotion of the territory and its cultural heritage. The article focuses on opinion about the great potential of electronic libraries, the emergence of which is closely related to the preservation, study and promotion of cultural heritage.
