Rezumat

Two new coordination compounds namely [Co(DH)2(Sam)2]2[ZrF6]⋅5H2O (I) and [Co(DH)2(Sam)2][BF4]⋅H2O (II) (where DH- = monoanion of dimethylglyoxime, Sam = sulfanilamide) have been synthesized. Noncentrosymmetric complex cations have usual trans-octahedral configuration with two DH- chelating units in the equatorial plane of Co(III) ion and apical coordination sites occupied by two neutral monodentate ligands of Sam.figureThe DH- ligands in the cations I and II are connected via two strong intramolecular hydrogen bonds O-H…O. The two sulfanilamide moieties in both structures are situated relative to the complex equatorial plane in approximately parallel orientation, the average dihedral angle for I and II is equal to 26.5(1)°. The benzyl fragments of Sam (in both structures) are involved in intramolecular π-π interaction with the π-delocalized chelate ring, with the mean distance 3.489(2) Å. The [Co(DH)2(Sam)2]+ cations, [ZrF6]2-, [BF4]- anions and molecules of water are connected in the crystal via numerous hydrogen bonds. The crystal structure I and II can be regarded as centrosymmetric structures, in which layers of Sam are incorporated for account [ZrF6]2- and [BF4]anions.
