Rezumat

It is known that adducts of dicopper(II) tetraacetate form various polynuclear coordination compounds that differ in the composition, structures and properties. Many of these substances are used as fungicides, colorants for ceramics, reagents for selective detection of some hydrocarbons and catalytic agents of different organic reactions. It was found that the structures and features of these compounds are determined by the nature of amine and the acid residues involved in the complex. Therefore, the synthesis and investigation of new complexes of adducts of dicopper(II) tetraacetate are of both scientific and practical interest. Therefore the aim of this work is to determine the structure of bis[1-ethyl-3-(pyridine-2-yl)thiourea]tetraacetatodicopper (I) using the X-ray methods. This molecule was synthesized by the reaction of copper (II) acetate monohydrate with 1-ethyl-3-(pyridine-2-yl)thiourea in a 1 : 1 molar ratio. In the crystal the studied compound forms the binuclear coordination complexes, where the metals are joined by acetate groups. The distance of Cu1-Cu1A is equal to 2.643 Å. The coordination polyhedrons of the copper atoms are the elongated tetragonal pyramids with the polyhedral volume of 6.283 Å3.figureFig. 1. The fragment of the crystal structure I.
