Televised electoral debate are a special type of communication and a specific television genre. Approach in terms of political discourse pursuing understanding of the pragmatic communicative effects of the public/mediatic speech reveals the importance of modal strategies used. Pragmatic analysis of situational context, formal and informal distribution of politiciens roles in the political discourse creates new possibilities for knowledge of how is constructed the electoral debate. Based on a case study - participants practice in the televised debates – the paper highlights the role of linguistic means, in particular, of the modality, for establishment of the efficient electoral strategies. |
