Rezumat

This article aims to highlight the factors that have a significant impact on the development of the Big Five personality type in adolescents. In order to investigate the research problem, the Friedman Emotional Maturity Scale and the Big Five - Minulescu Questionnaire were applied to a sample of 220 adolescents, aged between 14 and 17, from urban and rural areas, divided into two categories, on age ranges. The obtained results show the fact that starting from the existing relationship between emotional maturity and the level of development of personality factors, it was found that the differences in gender, age and social context (environment of origin) of the investigated adolescents influence the development of personality differently in the case of a reduced emotional maturity, compared to a middle level of emotional maturity.
