Background. Violence against women and children is a violation of human rights and a major medical and social problem of public health. A number of International Treaties and national regulations ensure the right to protection against all forms of violence against them. Objective of the study. The analysis of intersectoral collaboration mechanisms in domestic violence assistance, before and after the imposed isolation, to assess the cases dynamics and the multidisciplinary team intervention. Material and Methods. The authors conducted a qualitative and multiaspective research with the involvement of several actors from the public and private system with social, legal and medical profile involved in assisting victims of violence, and an office analysis of existing data on the subject. Results. During the period of isolation, there was a danger of increasing the number of cases of violence against women and children, including those with disabilities. The authorities responsible for recording complaints have worked either remotely or on a special basis. Due to the restrictions and the existing danger, the application of the protocols that ensured the continuity of the intersectoral procedures for assistance in cases of violence was limited or totally absent. Conclusion. Insufficient state preparedness for the emergency conditions created by Covid-19 has limited people's rights to protection against violence, including temporary placement. |
