This article reveals the issue of cyberbullying in adolescents. The study conducted on a sample of 40 adolescents, 12th grade students, 40 parents, 10 teachers, 1 school psychologist, 5 social workers and 2 sector police officers, showed that cyberbullying against young people is increasing in Moldova. Adolescents do not know the rules of using the internet to protect themselves, they are still in the period of personality formation and do not possess firmness and value beliefs that could protect them from acts committed recklessly with serious consequences for their physical and mental health. Parents are not aware of the danger their children are subjected to in the virtual world. In order to be competent in the field, teachers need training courses to equip them with means of intervention, in order to improve students' abilities to protect themselves against cyber abuse. |
