Rezumat

Cultural forms of the modern world-the network (information web) and the atomic personality radically change the idea of society and its social forms. They appear as a new social reality, creating a kind of media space. At the same time, the process of formation and development of the network space on the scale of the modern world space is insufficiently studied in theory and in practice, because of the novelty of this phenomenon. This is due to the high degree of its innovation and complexity, as well as its comprehensive existence at different time intervals of evolutionary social development and in various spheres of human life. The purpose of the article is to focus on the possibilities of the educational sphere in the self-development of a person in a network society. It is noted that the impact of information and network technologies on society and man is ambivalent. On the one hand, technology offers unlimited opportunities for self-development, self-assertion and selfrealization. By providing users with free access to electronic information resources, they do not regulate the volume and content of information in any way, and do not determine the direction of its search. On the other hand, the ability to realize amazing opportunities and incredible desires contains a number of warnings and threats. It is emphasized that the network model of education makes the variety of cultural practices open and accessible to consumers of education, makes it possible to consider the educational institution as an open environment in which there are no age, gender, national, geographical demarcation lines for the construction of communicative space.
