The legal status of a patient is a system of rights, freedoms, legal guarantees of their implementation and the protection of legitimate interests enshrined by the state, as well as the duties of an individual who is a subject of medical and legal relations. In this regard, a special role has the context in which such status is manifested, and in particular in the framework of the provision of medical services, where the patient acts as a subject of contractual relations that are concluded with the state or private medical institutions or subjects involved in medical activities. And thus, the determination of the legal status of the patient in this kind of contractual relationship gives an answer about the extent of ensuring the rights guaranteed to the person – patient
