На основе приводящихся в статье архивных материалов, отражающих период конца XIX – начала ХХ вв., автор показывает трудности процесса овладения бессарабскими гагаузами русского языка. Овладение русским языком осуществлялось как через язык богослужения, так и через школьное образование. На основе полевых материалов автора показывается, что в советский период русский язык стал у гагаузов, по сути, вторым языком общения. В статье делается вывод о том, что в результате сложившихся исторических условий русский язык у бессарабских гагаузов стал важным компонентом не только религиозной жизни, но и неотъемлемой частью их этнокультурной идентичности.

On the basis of the archival materials given in the article, reflecting the period of the late XIX-early XX centuries, the author shows the difficulties of the process of mastering the Russian language by the Bessarabian gagauzs. Mastering Russian was carried out both through the language of worship and through school education. Based on the field materials of the author shows that in the Soviet period, Russian language was theirs, in fact, the second language of communication. In conclusion, it is concluded that as a result of the existing historical conditions, the Russian language of the Bessarabian gagauzs has become an important component not only of religious life, but also an integral part of their ethno-cultural identit

Pe baza materialelor de arhivă în articolul care reflectă perioada de la sfîrşitul secolului al XIX – începutul secolului al XX-lea, autorul arată dificultăţi în procesul însuşirii basarabene găgăuzi limbii ruse. Stăpânirea rusă s-a efectuat atât prin limba de cult, cât şi prin educaţie şcolară. Pe baza materialelor de teren autor arată că, în perioada sovietică, limba rusă a devenit de la ei, de fapt, a doua limbă de comunicare. În concluzie, se conchide că, în urma aceste condiţiilor istorice de limba rusă de la basarabeni găgăuzi a devenit o componentă importantă nu numai viaţa religioasă, dar, de asemenea, o parte integrantă de identitatea lor etnoculturala.
