Rezumat

In «Anthropology of kinship» extended period, the ongoing debate about the primacy in terminology and in relations of kinship or biological or social component. In the Gagauz of kinship terminology this opposition in vestigial forms is stored in terms of: ana, mamo, "mother" – ü:süs’, originate to the ancient Turkic etymon ög / ök "mother, the woman who gave birth to me"; ushak "child" – yavru "baby, generated"; batü / aga "older brother, older relative from generation ego", kardash "brother, younger brother" archaic "exclusively biological brother", kaku "older sister, older relative from generation ego" – kyzkardash "sister, little sister", archaic "exclusively biological sister".Thus, there is a grain of truth in both theories debated, but a mistake of one of them is the negation in the early stages of human history the biological component of the kinship relationship, and the other is the idea of a secondary, late emergence of "social" terminology of kinship.
