The research was conducted in the apple orchard of the firm “Codru ST” established in spring 2000 with bench grafting. There were studied such cultivars as Idared, Golden Reinders, Sir Prize, Florina, Mutsu, Gala Must, Jonagored, Jonagold and Ionica grafted on the rootstock M 9. The spacing was 4 x 1 m. The trees were trained by the fusiform crown. The first fruit-bearing was registered in the third year of fruit-trees’ formation, when the yield of the studied cultivars constituted 13,3-33,8 t/ha. In 2007 the yield insignificantly increased to 24,0-36,4 t/ha. According to the yield averages from 2003-2007, the highest yield was registered for the cultivars Jonagored – 35,8 t/ha, Sir Prize – 35,2 t/ha and Golden Reinders – 34,3 t/ha. The varieties Florina and Jonagold produced the lowest yield average, the former providing 29,2 and the latter – 27,7 t/ha. |
