The following article deals with some issues concerning the safety and health at work. Here, it has been mentioned the spheres of action with regard to the state policy in the area of the safety and health at work, which aims to prevent the accidents and affections resulted at the workplace. Also, the obligations imposed to the employer in order to guarantee the safety and health at work.  Likewise were examined some aspects dealing with: definitions for the notion of the accidents at work; conditions to be meet when qualifying the accidents at work; importance of the qualification of the accidents at work when determining the conditions that has to be communicated, researched and registered, and the establishment of the legal liability for those responsible for this actions and the compensations for those found guilty.
