Studying medical literature data contained in 50 Western and Russian scientific papers, the author has concluded that the immune system failure in patients with inflammatory diseases of internal reproductive organs is reflected in features of clinical course and outcome of the treatment, which is a major cause of the process’ exacerbation. Persistent changes in the immune system, ultimately, lead to the formation of immune deficiency, which is the background to the development of chronic inflammatory diseases of genital organs and their recurrence. This is particularly important at present time, given the changes in environmental situation and the associated with it reduction of women immunological reactivity. Widespread use of new antibacterial drugs, nonspecific immunostimulants and interferon do not give positive results, as well as the projected patient’s treatment outcomes. The transition of acute inflammation into protracted form is often noted, and immunological parameters remain at the initially decreased level. Despite the fact that the issue of infectious and inflammatory diseases of pelvic organs is described in a large number of scientific studies, many of its aspects remain unresolved. In particular, the diagnostic tactics, existing in infectious and inflammatory diseases, is inadequate: the frequency of diagnostic errors is 43,5%, in 37,8% of cases the diagnosis turns out to be defective, including determination of the severity, which effects the volume of therapeutic interventions. Based on the above mentioned, in the present conditions of conducting patients with acute exacerbation of genitals chronic inflammation, the prevention acquires great significance, as well as the division of risk groups by frequent recurrence, early diagnosis with a comprehensive assessment of the immune status, step-by-step treatment with an adequate directed immune correction with the consequent restoration of menstrual and fertility functions. |
